Why Ratna Pathak Shah and Naseeruddin Shah Collaborate with Anupam Kher and Paresh Rawal Despite Clashing Views: ‘We Shared Our Formative Years…’ | Bollywood Buzz

Ah, Bollywood! The land where drama isn’t limited to the silver screen. Let me, Bollywood Newshound Nisha, tell you a tale of opinions, friendships, and unexpected camaraderie in the glittering world of Hindi Cinema.

Ratna Pathak Shah and Naseeruddin Shah – two names synonymous with raw talent and unabashed honesty. These two are not just actors; they’re walking, talking opinion factories. Whether it’s about the film industry, politics, or even their morning tea, they’re vocal. Yet, they somehow manage to be best buddies with folks like Anupam Kher and Paresh Rawal, who, let’s be real, sit on the opposite end of the opinion spectrum.

Recently, in a heart-to-heart with The Lallantop, our beloved ‘Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai’ diva, Ratna, spilled some beans. 🫘 Oh, and what a spicy spill it was!

Ratna said, "We grew up in an era where two people could be friends while holding different ideologies. You’re right in your place, I’m right in mine. There’s dialogue, discussion, and yes, even disagreement, but that doesn’t mean we can’t share a cup of chai together." ☕ Ah, the good old days when debates were a sport, not a war.

She went on to add that today’s cancel culture is an alien concept to her. "I was born in a home where my father was from an RSS family, and my mom was from a Communist family. Debates and arguments were our everyday breakfast, but we still lived happily. Disagreeing with someone’s opinion didn’t mean you wanted them banished to Mars. This whole ‘if you disagree with me, you’re dead to me’ thing is new, and frankly, quite tragic."

Imagine a set where Ratna and Naseer are working with Anupam and Paresh. Talk about a melting pot of ideologies! Remember the 1988 film ‘Pestonjee’? Yep, that’s when the Shahs worked with Kher. And more recently, Naseer and Kher gave us the thriller ‘Wednesday’. Meanwhile, Ratna and Paresh shared the screen in the 2021 film ‘Hum Do Hamare Do’.

Nisha’s Nutshell: And the moral of this Bollywood tale? 🍿 In the end, it’s not about agreeing on everything; it’s about respecting that we can all have different views and still make a blockbuster together. So, whether you’re an RSS enthusiast or a Communist, just remember – the show must go on! 🎬
