Will Shah Rukh Khan Finally Team Up With Shankar After ‘Nayak’ Flop? Indian 2 Director Quips, “Wait Till Robot’s Out…”

Arre bhai log, get ready for some gupshup! Your favorite Bollywood ke bhaiya, Shah Rukh Khan, and the genius Kollywood director Shankar were once on the brink of a dhamaka collaboration! But alas, fate had other plans. Let’s dive into this juicy kahani, shall we? 😏

Shah Rukh Khan & Shankar: Kya Woh Milenge Phir?

Remember when our very own King Khan, Shah Rukh, teamed up with Atlee for Jawan and gave us a full-on South Indian masala treat? The movie shattered box office records and left fans bhookha for more action-packed roles from SRK. Since then, SRK ke die-hard fans have been praying for him to work with more South Indian directors.

One such dream team-up almost happened with Shankar, the maverick behind blockbusters like Indian, Jeans, Mudhalvan, Nayak, Anniyan, Sivaji: The Boss, Robot and many more. Shankar is now busy directing Indian 2 with Kamal Haasan. In a recent chit-chat, he spilled the beans about his almost-collaboration with SRK.

Shankar’s Take on Working with SRK Again

For those jo abhi tak andhere mein hain, Shankar wanted SRK to star in Nayak, the Hindi remake of his Tamil hit Mudhalvan. SRK had even signed on the dotted line, but kuch toh gadbad ho gayi and Anil Kapoor ended up playing the lead role. So, what’s the scene now? Will Shankar and SRK ever work together in the future?

Shankar revealed, "After Robot released, I met Shah Rukh Khan a couple of times for a film, but things didn’t fall in place. Now, if a script comes in my mind, which is suitable for SRK sir, I will definitely do that."

Hmm, so there’s still hope, doston! Imagine the dhamaka these two legends could create together! We are eagerly waiting for Shankar to come up with an epic script for SRK. Fingers crossed! 🤞

Meanwhile, in Shankar’s World…

Shankar’s next big venture, Indian 2, is all set to hit theatres on July 12, 2024. Besides Kamal Haasan, the film boasts a stellar cast including Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, SJ Suryah, Bobby Simha, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Gulshan Grover. On the flip side, our Badshah SRK is gearing up to star in Sujoy Ghosh’s King, an action thriller that also features his daughter Suhana Khan.

Kiran’s Gyan: Bollywood ka asli formula – never say never! Abhi toh picture baaki hai mere dost. Whether it’s a missed opportunity or a future collaboration, Bollywood always keeps us on our toes. So, stay tuned and keep the popcorn ready! 🍿
