Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani Part 2? Kunal Roy Kapoor Spills the Beans on Taran & Aditi’s So-Called Future

Ah, Bollywood! The land of dreams, drama, and sequels that may never see the light of day. The iconic film "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" (YJHD) is about to hit the big 1-0, and fans are abuzz with anticipation for a sequel. But hold on to your popcorn, folks, because Kunal Roy Kapoor has some thoughts that might just burst that bubble!

Picture this: 2013, a film that made us all want to pack our bags and chase adventures with Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Kalki Koechlin, and Aditya Roy Kapoor. The movie was a cocktail of love, friendship, and the harsh truths of growing up. While Ranbir’s Bunny had us dreaming big and Deepika’s Naina kept us grounded, it was Kunal Roy Kapoor’s Taran who subtly stole the show as the “greenest flag” in the room. Who knew being the nice guy could leave such a lasting impression? 🤔

Kunal’s Take: The Sequel That Should Never Be?

In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, our man Kunal Roy Kapoor dropped a bombshell on all the eager fans waiting for a YJHD sequel. According to him, the characters’ journeys have reached their destinations, and there’s no need to revisit them. "Bhai, ho gaya unka safar," he quipped, emphasizing that some tales are better left untouched.

Even Kalki Koechlin, with her usual candor, admitted that recreating the magic of the original would be like finding a unicorn in Mumbai traffic. But Kunal did give us a little peek into Taran and Aditi’s post-marriage life, jokingly assuring us that they wouldn’t end up in a divorce court. "Aditi khush hai ya nahi, Taran toh khush hi hoga," he laughed, picturing a blissfully content Taran.

So while fans might dream about what’s next for Bunny, Naina, Avi, and Aditi, the cast seems quite satisfied with the legacy they’ve left behind. As Kunal wisely put it, "Kuch kahaniyan bas aise hi achhi lagti hain."

Kiran’s Gyan: In Bollywood, sequels are like your ex calling you after years—sometimes it’s best not to pick up the phone! 😂
