Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sarfira’ Faces Box Office Blues: A Week of Highs and Lows
Yeh kya ho gaya, Akki? Despite the buzz and all the hype, Akshay Kumar’s much-anticipated flick Sarfira, directed by the talented Sudha Kongara, has had a rather thanda first week at the box office. So, what’s the deal? Let’s decode this filmi mystery together!

Sarfira hit the screens on 12th July with a lukewarm collection of 2.5 crore. Not exactly a dhaasu opening for a Khiladi movie, right? But hey, it wasn’t a total bailbuddhi moment either.
The weekend brought a glimmer of optimism. Saturday saw collections jump by a whopping 70% to 4.25 crore. Wah, kya baat hai! The upward trend continued on Sunday, albeit at a slower pace, with collections reaching 5.25 crore. But alas, the weekend magic was short-lived.
Monday came like a kaala saaya, with collections dropping by a shocking 72.38% to a mere 1.45 crore. Ouch! Tuesday and Wednesday were slightly kinder, with collections rising to 1.95 crore and 2.15 crore, respectively. Thursday’s early estimates pointed to 1.25 crore, but the final numbers might tell a different story.
Despite a promising weekend, Sarfira wrapped up its first week with a total collection of 18.80 crore. For an Akshay Kumar film with high production values, this is pretty underwhelming. With new releases like Bad Newz set to hit theaters, Sarfira will need some serious jadoo to stay afloat.
