Akshay Kumar’s Latest Flick Stumbles Out of the Gate, Needs a Miracle to Soar

Sarfira – Plot, Cast & Crew:

Directed by none other than National Award-winner Sudha Kongara, ‘Sarfira’ promises to be a rollercoaster of emotions set in the world of start-ups and aviation. Our very own Khiladi, Akshay Kumar, plays Vir Jagannath Mhatre, a common man with an extraordinary dream to revolutionize air travel in India. With veterans like Paresh Rawal, Seema Biswas, and Radhika Madan adding their magic, this one looks like a solid entertainer. Behind the scenes, we have Sudha and Shalini Ushadevi’s writing, dialogues by Pooja Tolani, and a rocking score by G.V. Prakash Kumar. Production houses Cape of Good Films, 2D Entertainment (Suriya and Jyotika), and Abundantia Entertainment are all in.

Sarfira – Day 1 Advance Booking:

Abey yaar, despite Akki’s star power, ‘Sarfira’ seems to be struggling to take off! So far, the first-day advance booking has raked in only 4.81 lakh across 890 shows, translating to just 2,652 tickets sold. Haan, it’s not chillar, but for Akshay Kumar, this is like expecting a dhamaaka and getting a phuski bomb. Digging deeper, block bookings push the gross collection to 9.97 lakh, but still, it’s not exactly setting the box office on fire.

Region-wise, the NCR leads the pack with 2.98 lakh in bookings, followed by Mumbai’s 1.87 lakh. Bhopal and Chennai are lagging with 1.65 lakh and 1.15 lakh respectively. Baki desh so raha hai kya?

With an engaging trailer and a storyline packed with ambition and dreams, ‘Sarfira’ still has a chance to turn things around. The real test will be in the coming days.
