So, Aparshakti Khurana, our very own versatile actor, isn’t breaking a sweat over the upcoming box office tussle. Kya baat hai, boss! With his film Stree 2 clashing against Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa on the very patriotic Independence Day, Khurana is all chill. Aur kyun na ho? He sees it as a golden opportunity for the audience to binge-watch three fab movies over the long weekend. "Logon ko treat milne wala hai," he quips. 😎
“It’s a long weekend, bhai! With Independence Day and Rakhi, people will have choices. Hum sab ko ek doosre ko support karna chahiye. The current climate of the fraternity is such that I don’t think people will be looking down upon each other or trying to pull each other down. Everyone will be hoping that all three films work,” says Khurana, giving us some gyaan on industry unity.
Amar Kaushik Ka No-Tension Formula 🎥
Our Stree 2 director, Amar Kaushik, is equally zen about the clash. When asked if he was darawa about competing with Kumar and Abraham’s biggies, he responded, “It’s a big date and since it’s a long weekend, there’s a chance for everyone. All the films are good and each one has its own audience. People will definitely watch all of them. I have no apprehension.” Bas, itna hi kehna tha!
Same Team, Same Magic! ✨
Khurana reveals that the magic of Stree 2 is in its continuity. The exact same team from the original Stree (2018) has come together for the sequel. “We even shot at the same location in Chanderi, with the exact same team including the actors, director, and ADs (assistant directors). All of this made filming very special. We relived a lot of memories,” he shares, reminiscing the good ol’ days.
Nervous? Yeh Kaun Si Badi Baat Hai! 😅
When asked about the pressure of living up to Stree‘s success, Khurana admits, “You have to be happily nervous about it. After working hard on anything, every artist feels that the result should also be in our favor.” Arre, nervous toh hona hi hai, yaar!
Looking ahead, Khurana is optimistic about Stree 2‘s reception. “The response to the teaser makes me feel the audience will love the film. We are hopeful. There is happy nervousness for sure.” 💖
Currently, Khurana is busy shooting for Badtameez Gill in London, a film exploring family dynamics and societal issues in India. Wah, multi-talented hai apna hero! 🌟
