Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha Shatters Box Office, Leaves Ajay Devgn’s 2011 Flop in the Dust with a Whopping 107% Boost

Hey Bollywood Buffs! It’s your favorite filmy gupshup queen, Khabree Kiran, here to spill some piping hot chai on Ajay Devgn’s latest box office fiasco. Buckle up, ’cause we’re about to dive into some serious Bollywood masala! 🍿

So, Ajay Devgn, our very own Singham, started this decade with a bang, thanks to Tanhaji: The Unsung Hero. The man was on fire, with hits like Drishyam 2 and RRR. Even Gangubai Kathiawadi saw our man adding some star power. But just when we thought Ajay bhai was unstoppable, he went and released Maidaan—and let’s just say, it was more of a maidaan mein fail than a win. 🙈

Ajay Devgn’s Box Office Blues

Maidaan was supposed to be the big comeback, but it ended up clashing with Akshay Kumar’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and, well, Eid ka chaand nahi, Eid ka flop ban gaya. Despite all the hype, the film just couldn’t kick the ball into the goalpost.

And if you thought Maidaan was bad, hold onto your popcorn. Ajay’s next big hope, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, turned out to be a damp squib too! This film, which was supposed to reunite Ajay with Tabu in a romantic saga, barely managed to breathe at the box office on its opening day. We’re talking a measly 2.90 crore, folks! That’s like getting a kachcha limboo in a cricket match. 😭

The Low Down on Low Openings

For all my fellow Bollywood junkies who love numbers, here’s a list of Ajay Devgn’s lowest openers since 2011. Brace yourselves:

  1. Toonpur Ka Superhero (2010): 1.40 crore
  2. All The Best (2009): 1.82 crore
  3. Aakrosh (2010): 2.40 crore
  4. Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha (2024): 2.90 crore
  5. Tezz (2012): 3.05 crore
  6. London Dreams (2009): 3.40 crore
  7. Runway 34 (2022): 3.50 crore
  8. Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji (2011): 3.70 crore
  9. Atithi Tum Kab Jaaoge (2010): 3.87 crore
  10. Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai (2010): 6.05 crore

Chalo, if there’s any silver lining, it’s that Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha made 107% more than Toonpur Ka Superhero’s opening. Matlab, kuch toh achha hua! 😅

    Kiran’s Gyan 🧠

Bollywood mein bhai, ek din aap hero, doosre din aap zero! Ajay bhai, maybe it’s time to consult some naye scripts or a naya nimbu-mirchi ritual. Remember, filmy duniya ka ek hi rule hai: “Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost!”
