‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ Casts a Spell Over the U.K. Box Office

Alright, my lovely Bollywood buffs, let’s dive into the crazy world of Hollywood box office figures today! Buckle up because Hollywood Hrishita is about to spill the beans – with a twist!

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice! Yep, the ghost with the most is still haunting the U.K. and Ireland box office, clutching that top spot for the third week in a row. With a weekend haul of £2.4 million ($3.2 million), our spooky friend has raked in a whopping £18.2 million ($24.4 million) so far. Take that, ghostbusters! 👻💸

Meanwhile, Universal’s “Speak No Evil” is whispering sweet nothings from second place, scooping up £813,890 this weekend, making its total a respectable £2.8 million. Mubi’s fresh flick “The Substance” slid into third with £591,247 – not bad for a debut, right?

Sliding down to fourth is Studiocanal’s “Lee”, pocketing £556,465 for a total of £1.8 million. And oh, the fifth spot? It’s a tie, folks! Christopher Nolan’s “Interstellar” celebrated its 10th anniversary by earning £453,921, sharing the glory with Universal’s “Despicable Me 4.” Gru and his minions are still up to their old tricks, pushing their 11-week total to a staggering £46.6 million. 🚀🌌

Seventh place saw Signature Entertainment’s “200% Wolf” howling its way in with £237,037. And guess who’s still lingering in the top 10? “Deadpool & Wolverine” and “It Ends With Us,” holding strong at eighth and tenth with £57 million and £21.2 million respectively after nine and seven weeks. Lionsgate U.K.’s “The Critic” is snuggled in ninth, earning £208,153 this weekend, totaling £875,463.

Heads-Up for Next Week:
Get ready for a cinematic rollercoaster! On Wednesday, Sept. 25, Trafalgar is unleashing “Edward Scissorhands: Matthew Bourne’s Dance Version Of Tim Burton’s Classic.” Thursday brings us “Paul McCartney And Wings – One Hand Clapping,” a musical time machine to 1974. 🎤✨

Friday is a film fiesta! Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis” and Vertigo’s animation “Dragonkeeper” are hitting the screens. Curzon is serving up the comedy “My Old Ass,” while Lionsgate is scaring us silly with Halle Berry’s horror-thriller “Never Let Go.”

Icon’s “Hellboy: The Crooked Man” is back to spook us, and Studiocanal presents the drama “The Outrun,” starring Saoirse Ronan. Signature is doubling down with “Terrifier” and “Terrifier 2,” and Trinity’s anime “Detective Conan: The Million-dollar Pentagram” is also on the menu.

From the Indian cinema, Dreamz Entertainment is bringing the Tamil action-comedy “Petta Rap” and the Telugu action drama “Devara Part 1,” starring the “RRR” sensation NTR Jr.

To top it off, Universal and Park Circus are celebrating the 20th anniversaries of “Shaun Of The Dead” and “Mean Girls.” Fetch is still happening, apparently! 🧟‍♂️🎀

Moral of the Story: In Hollywood, if you’re not haunting, whispering, or celebrating your 10th or 20th anniversary, are you even trying? 😜
