July 2024 Ka Halat Kharab!
Oh-ho, kya yeh sach hai? July 2024 ne Hindi films ke box office ko rula diya! This month saw the release of four movies: Kill, Indian 2 (Hindi), Sarfira, and Bad Newz, alongside the English flick Deadpool & Wolverine. And guess what? In sab ne milkar sirf 176.40 crore kamaaye! Haaye, yeh kya ho raha hai Bollywood?
South Ka Tadka!
Ab aati hai asli baat – shayad yeh sab South Indian films ka jalwa tha jo Bollywood ko overshadow kar gaya. While Kalki 2898 AD continued its money-making spree, Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 bhi aaya dhamaka karne. Par kya hua? Kuch khaas nahi! South films jaise Indian 2 aur Raayan ne milkar 127.70 crore kamaaye, leaving our Hindi films far behind!
Indian 2 aur Raayan Ka Dhamaka!
Dosto, agar hum Deadpool & Wolverine ko hata de, toh Indian 2 aur Raayan ne Hindi films ko literally dhool chata di. Indian 2 ne kamaaye 81 crore, aur Raayan ne 48.70 crore, making a combined total of 127.70 crore. Bollywood releases ne bechara 105 crore hi kama paaye. Matlab, South ka jaadu chal gaya, aur Bollywood ka jaadu fail ho gaya!
2023 Ki Yaadon Mein
Last year, July 2023 ne box office ko complete 466.94 crore ka gift diya tha, thanks to Hollywood blockbusters like Barbie, Oppenheimer, and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. Aur bhai, don’t forget Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani which added 153.50 crore to the kitty. Meanwhile, is saal ka July toh bas 37.76% of last year ka total earnings hi kama paaya!
Flashback Mein Best July
Last ten years ki baat karein toh sabse zabardast July 2015 ka tha jab Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Drishyam, aur Baahubali (Hindi) ne box office ko hilake rakh diya with their combined total of 320.24 crore, 76.16 crore, and 120 crore respectively. Sahi mein, kya din the woh!
July Ka Sabse Bada Disaster!
Aur sabse badi flop kaun bhool sakta hai? Taapsee Pannu aur Vidya Balan ki female-led films ne box office ka bura haal kar diya. Remember Lekar Hum Deewana Dil? Armaan Jain ka debut jisme sirf 2.5 crore kamaaye! Fir aaya 2022 ka Shabash Mithu with 2.75 crore, aur 2023 ka Neeyat jo bas 2.64 crore kama paya. Kya yaar, Bollywood?
