Devara (Hindi) Box Office: Jr. NTR’s Flick Bags Nearly Rs. 50 Crores in First Week!

Boxoffice Bhaskar’s Box Office Banter: Devara’s Delightful Debut

Devara (Hindi) has waltzed into the box office with a suave swagger, amassing a cool Rs. 50 crore in its opening week. Now, you’d think a fantasy flick of this caliber would crash-land into theaters with the fanfare of a Diwali fireworks show, but it tiptoed in quietly, like a Bollywood celebrity at a low-key wedding. With Bollywood taking a breather this season, Devara had the perfect opportunity to grab the spotlight. Alas, it decided to play it cool.

Devara's Box Office Journey

Now, let’s talk turkey. Or in this case, Telugu. The original version rolled in the big bucks right from the get-go, but surprise, surprise—the Hindi version held its ground like a seasoned veteran. It’s reminiscent of that time when Pushpa took the Telugu audience by storm, but the Hindi version stayed in the race, matching strides like a Bollywood marathon runner.

In the grand finale, Devara‘s Telugu rendition might still take the crown, but credit where credit’s due—the Hindi version has impressed with Rs. 48.27 crore already in its kitty. After a mid-week boost thanks to Gandhi Jayanti, the collections took a slight dip on Thursday to Rs. 2.40 crore. Yet, it’s inching ever closer to the Rs. 50 crore milestone. With an open field ahead, another Rs. 17-20 crore could easily jingle into its coffers before the Diwali blockbusters explode onto the scene.
