Ishq Vishk Rebound’s Weekend Box Office: Rohit Saraf and Pashmina Roshan’s Flick Hits Day 3 – Did It Crash or Cash In?

Welcome back, my dear Bollywood buffs! It’s your favorite gossip queen, Bollywood Newshound Nisha, here to spill the tea on the latest in Tinseltown. Grab your popcorn, because today we’re diving into the murky waters of Bollywood remakes and box office disasters.

Ishq Vishk Rebound BO Collection Day 3: Shahid Kapoor’s Chocolate Charm Fails to Shine

Oh, the nostalgia! Remember when Shahid Kapoor first made hearts flutter with his chocolate boy looks in "Ishq Vishk"? Those were the days when the film was a massive hit and Shahid became the poster boy of youthful romance. Fast forward a few years (or decades), and here we are with the remake, "Ishq Vishk Rebound." But alas, it seems that lightning doesn’t strike twice!

The Not-So-Sweet Rebound

Starring Pashmina Roshan, Rohit Saraf, and Jibraan Khan, this film was supposed to be the millennial reincarnation of the beloved classic. Expectations were sky-high, but reality has a way of grounding dreams. The movie didn’t exactly set the box office on fire during its opening weekend. Day 1? A measly 1 crore. Day 2? A slightly better but still disappointing 1.2 crores. Day 3? A marginally improved 1.40 crores. Total? A not-so-grand total of 3.55 crores. Even on a Sunday, when families usually flock to theaters, the film couldn’t even scrape together 4 crores overall. Ouch!

Plot? What Plot?

So, what’s the storyline, you ask? Much like the 2003 original, "Ishq Vishk Rebound" revolves around the lives of four friends in a young adult drama. But here’s the kicker: while the original managed to tug at our heartstrings, this version seems to have missed the mark. Maybe the audience has moved on, or maybe the charm just didn’t translate. Either way, it’s a miss.

Competition Woes: Chandu Champion and Munjya Steal the Show

Adding salt to the wound, "Ishq Vishk Rebound" faced stiff competition at the box office. The horror-comedy "Munjya" is raking in the moolah, while Kartik Aaryan’s biopic "Chandu Champion" has also secured its spot in cinemas. Both films, though struggling in their own right, have made it tough for our poor "Ishq Vishk Rebound" to make any significant impact.

Nisha’s Nutshell: Moral of the Story

Sometimes, dear Bollywood, it’s best to let sleeping dogs lie. Not every classic needs a reboot, and not every chocolate boy can be replaced. If you’re going to remake a hit, at least make sure it’s worth the nostalgia trip. Until next time, stay fabulous and keep your expectations low – you’ll thank me later! 😜
