Kalki 2898 AD’s Box Office Dhamaka!
Guys, Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi dhamaka, Kalki 2898 AD, is making serious waves! Picture this: on Day 11, the film has already raked in a whopping ₹506.87 crore in India alone. Kya baat hai! Featuring the larger-than-life Prabhas, the stunning Deepika Padukone, the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, and the versatile Kamal Haasan, this film is unstoppable!
Dosto, this movie hit theatres on June 27 and has been minting money ever since. On Day 11 itself, it bagged ₹41.17 crore (nett) across all languages. Math mein weak ho toh bhi you can tell, ₹506.87 crore in just 11 days? Wah bhai wah!
And wait for it, globally, Kalki 2898 AD has entered the ₹800 crore club! Sach mein, paisa hi paisa!
Film ki Kahani
Now, let’s talk about the film itself. Nag Ashwin’s magnum opus is being touted as India’s most expensive film ever with a jaw-dropping budget of ₹600 crore. Yaar, socho, ₹600 crore! This mythological sci-fi action drama was released in multiple languages including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and English. Perfect for those polyglots out there!
With a star filled cast like Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, Disha Patani, Saswata Chatterjee, and Shobhana, the screen is practically on fire!
Sequel Ki Taiyari!
Aur suno, dosto! Nag Ashwin has confirmed that a sequel is already on the horizon. It seems like ek film mein itne bade stars ko sambhalna was a bit too much. Ashwin babu admitted in a recent press conference that he initially planned to wrap up the story in one film. Lekin, with four main characters—Bhairava (Prabhas), SU-M80 (Deepika), Ashwatthama (Amitabh), and Supreme Yaskin (Kamal)—itni jaldi sab kuch kaise hota?
"I soon realized that fitting four characters into one film was not manageable. There is a lot of action and backstories that have yet to be explored, and they will be in the sequel," he said. "We still have a lot of shooting, even casting for new characters, left to do."
So, gear up! Kalki 2898 AD Part Two is on its way, bringing more action, more drama, and definitely more paisa vasool moments!
