Well, well, well, if it isn’t our dear friends at the box office playing the numbers game again. Kill, starring Lakshya and Raghav Juyal, seems to be clawing its way up despite some heavyweight competition from Sarfira and Hindustani 2 (Hindi). With fewer screens to showcase its magic, this film has been like that one friend who still shows up to the party even when no one invited them. And guess what? People are actually noticing!
Saturday brought in a respectable Rs. 1.20 crore, a nifty leap from Friday’s Rs. 80 lakhs. With limited showtimes, the occupancy is pretty decent, making it the underdog story we didn’t know we needed. Today, the film is expected to surpass Rs. 1.50 crore comfortably and might even hit the Rs. 1.75 crore mark, which would sound like music to Lakshya and Raghav’s ears.
As it stands, Kill has racked up a cool Rs. 13.36 crores. By the end of the day, it will likely cross the Rs. 15 crores threshold. But wait, next week brings us the arrival of Dharma Productions’ Bad News. Will Kill have the stamina to keep up, or will it be curtains? Only time will tell.
