Loveyapa falls flat as Badass Ravi Kumar zooms miles ahead in advance sales, selling 10 times more tickets!

Boxoffice Bhaskar Unplugged: The Bollywood Box Office Chronicles

Once again, the stars align, and by stars, I mean those in the cinema halls, not in the sky. Today, let’s journey through the cosmic chaos of the Hindi film box office, where Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar re-release is soaring like a rocket, leaving other films to eat its space dust. As of Thursday morning, 10 AM, 48,900 tickets have vanished into the hands of eager fans across the top three national chains—PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis. Clearly, the gravitational pull of Nolan’s epic, coupled with premium weekend ticket pricing, has cinephiles flocking for a celestial experience. This momentum is set to continue, making Interstellar the intergalactic king of re-releases.

Meanwhile, in the terrestrial realm, Himesh Reshammiya’s Badass Ravi Kumar is duking it out with the re-released Sanam Teri Kasam. With 16,300 tickets sold against STK’s slightly higher 16,400, this battle is tighter than Himesh’s high notes. Badass Ravi Kumar hopes to ride the wave of mass appeal and action-packed entertainment, while Sanam Teri Kasam relies on its devout followers and a tempting ₹149 ticket price to draw the crowd.

And then, there’s Loveyapa. Ah, Loveyapa, the rom-com that’s more com than rom at the box office. With a mere 1,475 tickets sold, it’s safe to say it’s been left heartbroken by the competition. To put this in perspective, Badass Ravi Kumar has sold over ten times more tickets. Ouch. Unfortunately, this romantic drama seems destined for the cinematic friend zone, with little hope of a last-minute surge in popularity.

In the words of a wise person, “All’s fair in love and box office.” More pages await if you dare: Loveyapa Box Office Collection and Loveyapa Movie Review.
