Murder at the Box Office: Movie’s Second Week Holds Steady, Poised to Surpass Rs. 20 Crores by Weekend

Boxoffice Bhaskar’s Box Office Banter: Kill-ing It or Just a Slumber Party?

Ah, another day, another box office tally. Let’s dive into the second week of our dear film Kill, which managed to scrape together a cool Rs. 7 crores. Yes, you read that right. It’s not exactly a blockbuster, but hey, it’s not a total flop either. Over the weekend, the numbers rose like a phoenix but then settled into a more, let’s say, modest rhythm during the weekdays. The daily collections dipped below the Rs. 1 crore mark, but steady footfalls kept the theaters alive. So, let’s give a round of applause for mediocrity, shall we?

In its first week, Kill pocketed Rs. 11.36 crores. A 40% drop in the second week? Not too shabby, considering the circumstances. However, brace yourselves for a more dramatic plunge in the third week. Enter Bad Newz from Dharma Productions, which has not only opened well but is poised to gobble up the weekend numbers. And let’s not forget Kalki (Hindi), which is still strutting around the box office like it owns the place. Poor Kill will need to hustle harder than a newbie actor at a Bollywood audition to stay relevant.

As of now, Kill has banked Rs. 18.36 crores. By the end of the weekend, it should cross that elusive Rs. 20 crores mark. The ultimate goal? A lifetime collection of around Rs. 25 crores. Given the new star cast and the production costs, hitting this target would be considered a fair result. But then again, in Bollywood, “fair” is just another word for “we tried.”

Note: All collections are courtesy of our trusty production and distribution sources.

So, will Kill manage to slay the box office or just get killed in the process? Only time will tell. Until then, keep munching on your popcorn and stay tuned for more box office drama!
