Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD (Hindi) Dominates First Week of 2024 with Impressive Box Office Numbers

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, and all you Bollywood buffs out there, gather around! It’s time to dive into the murky depths of box office collections with yours truly, Boxoffice Bhaskar. Strap in, because we’re about to embark on a wild ride through the glittering yet gritty lanes of Hindi cinema!

Kalki 2898 AD has done the unthinkable – it’s scored a smashing century and kept on going! After a week of serenading the box office, this film has managed to rake in an impressive haul, making it the highest Week One earner of 2024. Yes, you heard that right! Not bad for a movie that was an underdog just a month ago, eh?

But before we get too carried away, let’s take a closer look at the numbers. Drum roll, please!

Top-10 Hindi releases in 2024, based on Week One collections:

  1. Kalki 2898 AD: ₹153.15 crores
  2. Fighter: ₹143.85 crores
  3. Shaitaan: ₹81.60 crores
  4. Crew: ₹47.54 crores
  5. Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya: ₹47.18 crores
  6. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan: ₹44.67 crores
  7. Chandu Champion: ₹40.13 crores
  8. Article 370: ₹38.82 crores
  9. Munjya: ₹36.50 crores
  10. Yodha: ₹26.09 crores

And just like that, Kalki 2898 AD has left its closest competitor, Fighter, eating its dust. Poor Mr. And Mrs. Mahi has been kicked out of the Top-10 club with its measly ₹24.89 crores. Better luck next time, folks!

Now, onto the burning question: What’s next for Kalki 2898 AD? The Rs. 200 Crores Club is in its sights, and if everything goes according to plan, it might even surpass Fighter‘s lifetime collection of ₹212.50 crores by the end of the second weekend. Ambitious? Perhaps. But hey, Bollywood is nothing if not a land of dreams and drama!

And just to make sure you don’t forget, here’s a little nugget of wisdom from Bhaskar: “Box office numbers are like Bollywood relationships – unpredictable and often inflated!”

Stay tuned for more juicy updates and remember, in the world of Bollywood, anything can happen and usually does!
