Prabhas Smashes 191 Crore Globally & Sets 2024’s Biggest Opening, But Misses 3 Major Marks!

Hello, dosto! It’s your favorite Bollywood snoop, Khabree Kiran, back with the latest goss from the glitzy world of Hindi cinema. Buckle up, because we’ve got some spicy chatpata news today! 🎬🍿

Kalki 2898 AD: Big Hopes, Bigger Letdowns?!

So, Prabhas’ latest magnum opus, "Kalki 2898 AD," set the box office on fire with a jaw-dropping worldwide opening of 191 crore! Wah, kya baat hai! But hold on, peeps. Despite this dhamaka, some records remained unbroken. Let’s dive into the juicy details, shall we?

Starry Night, Dull Morning

The film stars the who’s who of Bollywood and Tollywood: Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Saswat Chatterjee. Even with cameos from Vijay Deverakonda, Dulquer Salmaan, Ram Gopal Verma, and Mrunal Thakur, the film couldn’t turn its hype into hysterical numbers. Arrey, itna star power aur phir bhi… meh!

Record-Breaking… Not!

While "Kalki 2898 AD" is the biggest opener in India for 2024, surpassing Mahesh Babu’s "Guntur Kaaram" by a whopping 121%, there were a few records that it aimed for but missed. Let’s spill the chai on those, shall we?

1. Highest Hindi Opener of 2024
Prabhas wanted to dethrone Hrithik Roshan and Deepika’s "Fighter," which scored 24.60 crore on day one. But alas, "Kalki 2898 AD" tapped out at 22.50 crore. Close, but no cigar, Prabhas bhai!

2. Prabhas’ Own Record
Remember the hysteria around "Baahubali 2"? It raked in 41 crore in Hindi alone, 213 crore worldwide, and 123 crore in India. "Kalki 2898 AD," despite its buzz, could only gather 193 crore worldwide, 22.50 crore in Hindi, and 93 crore in India. Not quite there, haan?

3. Highest Indian Opener Worldwide
The whispers in the industry had high hopes for a 200+ crore opening. But reality check, folks! The movie settled at 193 crore, falling short of "RRR"’s massive 223 crore worldwide and 134 crore in India. Ouch!

Note: Box office numbers are based on estimates and various sources. They haven’t been independently verified by yours truly.

Kiran’s Gyan:

Bollywood mein picture ka hit hona utna hi unpredictable hai jitna ki Mumbai ka traffic! 📈🚦 One day you’re breaking records, the next day you’re breaking down. Lesson? Kabhi over-confidence mat dikhana, kyunki audience har baar kuch naya chahte hain!

So, what’s your take on "Kalki 2898 AD"? Drop your thoughts in the comments below. Until next time, this is Khabree Kiran, signing off! ✌️
