Reflecting on her filmi safar, she never imagined that her debut in the 2016 Kannada hit Kirik Party would lead to a whopping 24 films! "Main toh bas ek film ki soch rahi thi, and here I am," she laughs. And with a dash of humility, she acknowledges the sundar, talented women out there, yet it’s her unique journey she cherishes.
Balancing Bollywood and Tollywood: The Saga Continues
Our girl Rashmika has been juggling blockbusters from both Bollywood and Tollywood like a pro. With hits like Animal alongside Ranbir Kapoor and the much-anticipated Pushpa 2: The Rule, she’s become the pasandida of both industries. 💃
But, as she candidly admits, it’s quite the task. “South ya Hindi, if events clash, kya kare? Sacrificing sleep is part of the deal!” she quips. Her mantra? Love from fans fuels her to pull off those double shifts and back-to-back shoots. Talk about dedication! 💪
Chhaava: A Royal Affair with Vicky Kaushal
Now, onto her latest project, Chhaava, opposite the dashing Vicky Kaushal. Directed by Laxman Utekar, this flick is all about the legendary Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Rashmika steps into the regal shoes of Maharani Yesubai, and boy, was she in for a surprise with this role!
"Imagine getting to portray historical figures we read about in school! I was like, ‘Yeh kaise ho gaya?’” she giggles. With guidance from Utekar and producer Dinesh Vijan, Rashmika worked hard to nail the language and essence of her character. After months of prep, they finally got it right during dubbing. Phew! 🎭
On set, Rashmika felt truly at home in her traditional attire. She shares, “I love sanskari over modern, any day! Playing Yesubai felt like stepping into history, and it was magical.”
