Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna’s ‘Sikandar’ Sees a Modest Box Office Bump on Day 2, Grosses ₹55 Crore

April 1, 2025 – Lights, camera, meh! Bollywood ka bhai, Salman Khan, returns to the big screen with "Sikandar," and let’s just say, the reception was as lukewarm as chai left out too long. Released on March 30, the film, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, got a mixed bag of reactions at the box office. But hey, Eid ka tyohaar did sprinkle some festive magic, giving the film a slight lift in collections. 🎥✨

Sikandar Box Office Report

Arre bhai, kal kya kamaal ho gaya! According to Sacnilk.com, on Monday, the film managed to rake in ₹29 crore, pushing its total to ₹55 crore. That’s a jump from its opening day collection of ₹26 crore. Matlab, second-day business ne pehli din ki kamaai ko dhakka diya! The Hindi occupancy on Monday was a modest 21.75%. Morning shows were as empty as an empty stomach with only 8.38% footfall, but the afternoon and evening shows picked up pace with 26.70% and 30.18% respectively.

However, Sikandar’s opening was no match for Vicky Kaushal’s "Chhaava," which bagged ₹31 crore on its first day. Globally, the film opened at ₹54 crore, marking one of Salman’s lowest openings in recent years. Bhai ki gaadi, thodi dheemi pad gayi!

About Sikandar

Salman Khan, back on the big screen after a break since 2023, stars in "Sikandar" directed by AR Murugadoss. With a star filled cast including Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, and Sharman Joshi, it’s Salman’s first Eid release in two years. The film hit theatres on March 30, trying to recreate the magic of past Eid blockbusters.

But alas, the magic was missing! The screenplay and direction, both by AR Murugadoss, left much to be desired. The film kicks off with Salman’s entry, but post that, it’s like a train chugging along with no destination. The scenes are rushed, and the editing by Vivek Harshan is as choppy as a bad haircut. Just imagine if the film had a twist around Sikandar’s motive to protect three specific people, kind of like the suspense in Salman’s own "Sultan" (2015). But no such luck, folks! The linear storytelling left no emotional impact, making it nothing more than a watered-down masala flick.

Kiran’s Gyan:

Bollywood gyaan of the day: In the world of filmi dhamaka, a superstar’s return requires fireworks, not phuljhadis. 🎇 If the story doesn’t dazzle, even Eid magic can fall flat! So, remember, script ki jaan hai zabardast plot, warna, box office pe lagega maatha! 💥
