Alright folks, grab your popcorn and fasten your seatbelts because the Bollywood box office drama is juicier than a ripe mango in May! 🎬 While Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2 is making the ticket counters sing with advance bookings, it’s a snooze fest for the other two Independence Day releases, Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa. As of Monday, 8 PM, Khel Khel Mein has managed to sell a measly 3,000 tickets in the national multiplex chains. Yawn! 🥱
On the flip side, Vedaa is slightly better off but still far from impressive with 3,700 tickets sold in the National Multiplex Chains for Independence Day. The grand total for Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa? A whopping 6,700 tickets. That’s right, folks, 6,700 compared to 1,30,000 tickets sold by the Shraddha Kapoor starrer for the same day. Ouch! 🥵
If you’re doing the math (and I know you are), the combined ticket sales for Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa is a paltry 5% of the total tickets sold by Stree 2 for the opening day. This is a clear sign of trouble for these two films. Festivals are supposed to be the playground for big theatrical releases, and the success of Stree 2 compared to the other two flicks proves it’s here to stay. Now, all eyes are on the performance of Vedaa and Khel Khel Mein on Tuesday and Wednesday. Will they rise from the ashes or continue their nap? Stay tuned! 📉
