Yes, you read that right. Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao are back with Stree 2, and their fans have gone absolutely bonkers. In less than 24 hours, this horror-comedy has managed to sell more tickets than a cricket match final! The film is set to make a grand entry on Independence Day and has claimed a whopping 50% of the screen share in multiplexes. Talk about a patriotic box office invasion!
A trade source whispered to me, "Stree 2 will lead the Independence Day battle with a 50% share in showcasing at multiplexes. It’s deserving for this horror comedy to dominate over Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa due to the tremendous demand among cinema-goers. The shows have started to get full, and Stree 2 will be the first choice for exhibitors and audiences alike."
While Stree 2 is basking in its early glory, the real slugfest is between Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa for the remaining screens. The trade source added, "By the end of Wednesday, Khel Khel Mein will take the lead over Vedaa in screen count. At the end of the day, it’s an Akshay Kumar film. The shows between Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa will be divided in the ratio of 50:50."
