Starting with a solid Rs. 8.62 crores on Friday, the film saw a *cash explosion* over the weekend. Saturday collections jumped to Rs. 10.55 crores, and by Sunday, it raked in another Rs. 11.45 crores. That’s right, folks, the numbers were climbing faster than a cat up a tree! The weekdays saw a steady stream of Rs. 3-4 crores, though Thursday dipped a bit to Rs. 2.75 crores. But hey, who’s complaining? With such consistent numbers, the first week ended on a high note, making it one of 2024’s best weeks so far.
Currently, the film stands tall at Rs. 44.12 crores. Not too shabby, eh? Directed by Dharma Productions on a controlled budget, Bad Newz is already in profit territory just from its theatrical run. And let’s not forget the extra *ka-ching* from OTT, satellite, music, and other rights. As if that wasn’t enough, this film has now nabbed the third spot in Vicky Kaushal’s career for highest first-week collections, just behind Uri – The Surgical Strike and Raazi.
