So, our very own muscle-man John Abraham has finally broken his silence about his latest flick, Vedaa, not exactly setting the box office on fire. And guess who it had to clash with? Stree 2 and Khel Khel Mein during the Independence Day weekend. Talk about a tough crowd! 🙈

John’s Take on the Box Office Drama

In a recent chit-chat with Radio City, John gave his two cents on the whole box office hullabaloo. The man isn’t losing sleep over it. He’s all about the mudda (issue) the film raises. He said, “I think it is a brave film to do, very brave. Aur mai honestly keh raha hoon, success aur failure se jyada jo aap film me message de rahe ho, jo aap mudda utha rahe ho film mein, I think that’s very important. We’ve told it in an entertaining way, lekin mudda toh mudda hi hai. Agar mudda bhaari hai, aur logon ko kuch bhaari dekhna pasand nahi hai toh wo unka choice hai aur main usko bohot respect karta hoon. Agar unko mudda face karna hota hai, they need to face it.”

Translation: "Success, failure, blah blah blah… It’s the message that counts, and if people can’t handle it, it’s their problem, not mine." 😎

The Cast and Crew

Directed by Nikkhil Advani, Vedaa boasts an ensemble cast including Sharvari, Abhishek Banerjee, and Tamannaah Bhatia. The movie follows Sharvari’s character, Vedaa, who dares to challenge the status quo, supported by a former soldier played by John. It’s like Rocky meets Satyagraha but with a lot more dhishoom-dhishoom. 💥

Produced by Zee Studios, Umesh Kr Bansal, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, and John himself, this film is a cocktail of action and drama. As for the review by Hindustan Times, they say, "Nikkhil Advani has clearly come a long way from the sappy romance he directed in Kal Ho Naa Ho, to now Vedaa. The sensitivity of the subject at hand is revealed via just the disclaimer shown in the beginning of the film."
