It seems like Himesh Reshammiya has been on a mission to redefine the meaning of âbadassâ. And boy, has he done a splendid job⊠of making it synonymous with âtorturousâ! Well played, sir.
Ladies and gents, itâs your favorite Bollywood bashing diva, Review Rani. Today, we delve into the world of âBadass Ravi Kumarâ where logic is as rare as a good Himesh Reshammiya film. The movie is an ode to the 80s, complete with over-the-top dialogues and a narrative thatâs as coherent as a toddlerâs speech. đââïž
Our hero, Ravi Kumar (Reshammiya, who else?), is a rule-breaking cop with a fierce determination to protect national secrets. But the real question is â can he protect us from his acting? No spoilers here, but letâs just say the nationâs security isnât the only thing thatâs compromised.
The plot is a chaotic mishmash that leaves you feeling like youâre on a rollercoaster, but not in a fun way. More like the kind where youâre praying for it to end. You see, Ravi is on a mission to retrieve a camera reel from Muscat containing classified information. A task entrusted to him by Commissioner Awasthi (Saurabh Sachdeva). The villains, Syed Bashir (Manish Wadhwa), Carlos Pedro (Prabhu Deva), and Laila (Kirti Kulhari), are after the same thing. The story is all about our âbadassâ copâs struggle to save the day.
Reshammiyaâs acting is as convincing as a 3-year-oldâs promise to not touch the cookie jar. His patriotic dialogues are as impactful as a feather in a boxing match. And oh, the love triangle with the two sisters, Laila and Madhubala (Simona J), is as engaging as watching paint dry. Despite her stunning looks, Simona Jâs performance is as compelling as a snail race.
The only saving grace is Prabhu Deva, whose flashy red suit and golden shoes are more interesting than the entire movie plot. The supporting cast, including the likes of Sanjay Mishra, Johnny Lever, Kirti Kulhari, Sunny Leone and Rajesh Sharma, are as underutilised as a gym membership in January.
Add a few nonsensical gunfights, exaggerated stunts, and a forgettable soundtrack to the mix, and you get âBadass Ravi Kumarâ. Itâs like a jigsaw puzzle with pieces from different boxes.
Raniâs Wrap-Up: So, if youâre in the mood for a mind-numbing experience where logic is as elusive as a unicorn, then âBadass Ravi Kumarâ is your pick. Remember, itâs not just bad; itâs âbadassâ. đŠđ
