🔪🔪🔪 (3 out of 5 knives)
If you’ve ever wondered what it would feel like to have your heart pounding out of your chest while simultaneously being strangled by suspense, then boy, do I have a movie for you!
Alrighty, folks! Put on your seatbelts ’cause Review Rani is in the house, and she’s here to spill some beans on a flick that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat, biting your nails off. Drum rolls, please, for the movie – ‘Crazxy.’
So, we got Dr. Abhimanyu Sood (played by Sohum Shah), a surgeon who’s got himself in a bit of a pickle. He’s dealing with a medical negligence case and is midway negotiating an out-of-court settlement. But as fate would have it, he’s served with a side dish of kidnapping drama where he has to ransom his estranged daughter’s life. The man has to make a choice – his freedom or his daughter? And the clock is ticking, folks!
The movie is a wild ride from the get-go. The director, Girish Kohli, has a knack for flipping the narrative pancake just when you think you’ve got the taste of it. The plot twists are like a slap in the face when you least expect them. You can’t help but get sucked into the vortex of suspense.
The cinematography by Sunil Ramkrishna Borkar and Kuldeep Mamania is pretty slick. They’ve captured desolate landscapes, a dimly-lit garage, an eerie graveyard, and a lonely highway – all setting the perfect stage for a spine-chilling thriller.
The film is stitched together by the sharp editing skills of Sanyukta Kaza and Rythem Lath. The background score by Vishal Bhardwaj keeps your pulse racing and adds layers to the suspense. Oh, and if you’re a fan of Kishore Kumar, you’re going to love their version of ‘Abhimanyu.’
However, there are times when the movie feels like it’s trying too hard. Like a jigsaw puzzle with one too many pieces, you tend to lose your grip on the plot. The tension keeps escalating, and at times, it feels more like a rollercoaster ride than a movie. But hey, who doesn’t like a bit of a thrill, right?
Sohum Shah, as the lead, pulls off an intense performance as a skilled surgeon and a not-so-great dad who’s got the chance to make things right. The voice performances by Piyush Mishra, Shilpa Shukla, Nimisha Sajayan, and Tinnu Anand add depth to the narrative. Unnati Surana, who plays his daughter Vedica, leaves a mark even in her brief screen-time.
In all honesty, ‘Crazxy’ is like a wild party – messy, loud, chaotic, but also fun. It’s got the right mix of suspense, drama, and the occasional heart-tugging moments. It’s a whole lot of crazy packed into one film, and it’s definitely worth a watch.
Rani’s Wrap-Up: ‘Crazxy’ is the kind of movie that leaves you feeling like you’ve just survived a thrilling rollercoaster ride—exhausted, but grinning from ear to ear. And as they say, what doesn’t kill you surely leaves you wanting more! 😉
