Crew Film Review: A High-Flying Heist Full of Hilarity and Hustle

🌟🌟🌟🌟 (4/5)

“If you thought smuggling gold was a man’s job, then hold onto your popcorn, because these ladies are about to turn your world upside down!”

Hello folks! It’s your girl, Review Rani, back with a fresh dose of Bollywood madness. This time, I’m diving headfirst into the gold-laden chaos of ‘Crew’. You know, the one where three sassy air hostesses, Geeta (Tabu), Jasmine (Kareena Kapoor Khan), and Divya (Kriti Sanon), serve not only in-flight meals but also a big, steaming platter of drama.

These divas are no ordinary flight attendants. They’re dealing with their own baggage (pun intended) while also ensuring that the Kohinoor Airlines doesn’t crash down from the brink of bankruptcy. The solution to their money troubles? Gold smuggling. Because, why not?

‘Crew’ takes off with a bang, but lands with a bit of a thud. It’s like a thrilling rollercoaster ride that’s all fun until you realise the safety bar is slightly loose. The film is filled with hilarity, even when the plot seems to be hanging by a thread thinner than those fancy airline peanuts. The heist is as clever as using a soup spoon to dig a tunnel, but the ladies pull it off with the grace of catwalk queens.

The charm of ‘Crew’ lies in its depiction of the dilemmas faced by our middle-class heroines. The struggle to balance their aspirations, ethics, and a dead-end job that sucks the life out of them is real. It’s like being stuck between a rock, a hard place, and a really annoying co-worker.

Rani’s Star Watch:
This movie is like a star-studded flight, with the leading ladies in their 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s. Tabu and Kareena are like the first-class passengers of this flight, radiating movie star energy. Kriti Sanon, however, feels more like an unpaid intern caught in the whirlwind of the divas’ charm.

Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma, though present, are like those random passengers you only notice when the seat belt sign is off. And don’t get me started on that hilarious moment when Diljit asks Kriti, “Why didn’t you follow me back on Instagram?” I mean, priorities, right?

Rani’s Wrap-Up:
So, if you’re in the mood for some crazy comedy, ‘Crew’ is your ticket to a laughter-filled flight. It’s got the glamour, the humour, and above all, it’s got the gold. It’s like a Bollywood version of ‘Snakes on a Plane’, but with less snakes and more gold bars. So buckle up, because this flight is about to take off!

“Because in Bollywood, even gold smuggling can be glamorous!”
