Well, well, well, here we are again, darlings. Itâs your favorite cynic, Review Rani, ready to dish out another dose of my deliciously dry humor. This time, Iâm sinking my teeth into the latest Hindi film, âIshq Vishk Reboundâ. Letâs see if itâs as refreshing as a cool Mumbai monsoon, or as disappointing as a soggy samosa.
So, the story spins around three inseparable buddies, Raghav (Rohit Saraf), Sanya (Pashmina Roshan), and Sahir (Jibraan Khan), whoâre stuck in a romantic Bermuda Triangle, just without the disappearing planes and spooky stuff. đ Sanya and Sahirâs relationship is on and off more times than a faulty light bulb. Raghav, the third wheel, is dragged into their emotional rollercoaster. The poor guy then finds himself entwined in a rebound romance with Sanya, following a breakup with his girlfriend, Riya (Naila Grrewal). The question is â will this âlove-just-for-the-sake-of-itâ romance ruin their lifelong friendship?
The first half is a laugh-riot with Raghav hilariously trying to balance his friendships and his rebound romance. The comic sequences are a hoot, from Raghav swiping Sahirâs dog (Who does that, really?) to a âhaunting tripâ with Sanya. The film takes a stab at modern love, portraying relationships as baggage-free transactions. But alas, the second half drags like a Bollywood awards ceremony â long and repetitive.
The filmâs music isnât too shabby with Rochak Kohliâs melodious âRehmatâ, and the remixes of âChot Dil Pe Lagiâ and âIshq Vishk Pyaar Vyaarâ adding some spice. But honestly, they pop up more frequently than my neighborâs annoying cat and break the narrative flow.
Rohit Saraf is the show-stealer with his impeccable comedy timing and a natural on-screen presence. Pashmina Roshan is convincing as a troubled young girl, while Jibraan Khan does a decent job. Naila Grewal, unfortunately, is as underused as a gym membership in January.
So, to sum up, âIshq Vishk Reboundâ is a Gen Z love story, which might leave the older folks scratching their heads. But hey, itâs got a good dose of humor, engaging performances, and itâs entertaining enough for a one-time watch.
Raniâs Wrap-Up: In the end, âIshq Vishk Reboundâ is like a plate of pani puri â tasty and tangy, but leaves you wanting something more satisfying. đ˝ď¸ Until next time, this is Review Rani, signing off with a sarcastic smile and a wave. đââď¸ Stay tuned for more of my hilariously biting reviews, darlings.
