Sikandar: Film Review โ€“ A Khan-do Attitude in a Tale of Heart, Eyes, and Lungs

๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸโœจ (2.5/5)

Well hello, Bollywood lovers! Itโ€™s Review Rani here with another gemโ€”or should I say, a gem that lost its sparkle. Letโ€™s embark on a journey to the land of over-the-top heroics and predictability, where Salman Khan reigns supreme. Hold on to your seats, because this ride may not be as thrilling as youโ€™d hoped.

So letโ€™s set the stage. Sanjay Rajkot (Salman Khan), the noble king of Rajkot, is pitted against a formidable minister (Sathyaraj). The battle results in the tragic demise of Sanjayโ€™s wife, Saisri (Rashmika Mandanna), who before taking her last breath, bestows her organs to three lucky Mumbaikars. But waitโ€”itโ€™s not all hearts and flowers. The evil minister, in a bid to crush Sanjayโ€™s spirit, targets the organ recipients. And so begins Sanjayโ€™s quest to shield them from harm, all the while helping to turn their lives around.

Now, you must be wonderingโ€”how does this Salman Khan spectacle fare? Well, itโ€™s a typical Salman Khan film, complete with action scenes that laugh in the face of gravity, a larger-than-life hero, and punchlines that could knock you out. But alas, the plot is as underwhelming as flat sodaโ€”predictable and stale.

Sanjay, or Sikandar as he is lovingly called, is the poster boy for bravery and invincibility. Heโ€™s a one-man army who not only saves the organ recipients but also empowers a housewife (Kajal Agarwal) and assists a heartbroken college girl. However, the filmโ€™s narrative is as clichรฉd as they come, and the action sequences are as thrilling as a snail race.

Salman Khan, with his superstar aura, tries to breathe life into the film, but the lackluster narrative acts like a speed bump on a highway. His dialogue delivery, though, is as cheesy as a margherita pizza. Rashmika Mandanna, although she possesses a strong screen presence, doesnโ€™t get the chance to showcase her acting chops. Sharman Joshi, playing Salmanโ€™s loyal sidekick, stands out with his restrained but impactful performance.

The filmโ€™s music is as generic as store-brand cola, and the action sequences are as repetitive as a broken record. Itโ€™s like the film was made to cater to die-hard Salman Khan fans, but even they might wish for a bit more pizzazz.

But hey, who am I to judge? Maybe youโ€™ll find some hidden treasure in this Bollywood extravaganza.

Raniโ€™s Wrap-Up: If youโ€™re looking for a cinematic masterpiece, this ainโ€™t it. But if youโ€™re a Salman Khan fan who enjoys the same old song and dance, this movie might just tickle your fancy. Until next time, this is Review Rani, signing off with a wink and a smile. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜„
