Singham Again Film Review: Ajay Devgn Roars Louder in this Wild, Whistle-Worthy Ride

🤩🤩🤩🤩 (4 out of 5 stars)

drumroll please 🥁

Ladies and gentlemen, buckle up your seatbelts, grab your popcorn, and prepare for a rollercoaster ride as Bajirao Singham (Ajay Devgn) is back with a bang! This time, he’s more like a one-man army, fighting off a whole pack of wild beasts, and saving his damsel in distress, Avni (Kareena Kapoor) from the clutches of the villainous Danger Lanka (Arjun Kapoor). Oh, and did I mention, all of this happens in the lush, wild landscapes of Sri Lanka? Now, aren’t you thrilled already?

This is Review Rani, bringing you the dish on Rohit Shetty’s latest cinematic spectacle, a testosterone-charged extravaganza that screams "Singham!" at every possible instance. The film is an adrenaline-fueled action-fest where the plot is as elusive as a snowflake in a desert. But hey, who needs a coherent story when you’ve got high-speed car chases, bone-crushing action scenes, and a whole parade of Bollywood’s finest to keep you entertained?

Right from the get-go, Shetty goes full throttle with the action, leaving you gasping for breath. From the all-star cast of macho men (and one badass Lady Singham, Deepika Padukone), to the high-octane showdowns, everything is larger than life. Not to forget the frequent nods to Ramayan and Kalaripayattu, which feel as natural as a polar bear in a desert, but hey, it’s Bollywood, anything’s possible!

The film is a visual spectacle, with Raza Mehta’s cinematography capturing the breathtaking beauty of Sri Lanka and Tamil Nadu. The action sequences are heart-thumping and will have you on the edge of your seat, albeit the narrative could’ve been tightened a bit.

As for the performances, Ajay Devgn swaggers around like a lion in his territory, stealing the show with his raw charisma. Ranveer Singh is a hoot, delivering one-liners with a comic timing that’s as sharp as a chef’s knife. Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff and Akshay Kumar, despite their brief appearances, leave a lasting impact. And let’s not forget Arjun Kapoor, who nails his villainous role.

In a nutshell, "Singham Again" is a wild, entertaining, and over-the-top film, that will make you chuckle, cringe and cheer, all at the same time. The film is like a spicy masala dosa, it’s cheesy, it’s hot, and it’s finger-licking good!

Rani’s Wrap-Up: So, if you’re game for some mindless fun, and don’t mind your eardrums getting a bit of a workout, then "Singham Again" is just the ticket for you. There’s a wild card waiting at the end of the credits that’ll make you roar with delight. After all, who said cinema has to be serious all the time? Here’s to more fun, more action, and more Singham! 🍻

Over and out, Review Rani. 💁‍♀️
