Sonakshi Sinha and Riteish Deshmukh’s Horror Comedy ‘Kakuda’ Falls Flat and Fails to Impress | Bollywood

Namaste Bollywood lovers! This is your one and only Khabree Kiran, here to spill the beans on the latest disasterpiece from Bollywood. Buckle up, kyunki yeh ride hone wali hai thodi bumpy! 🚀

Kakuda: A Horror Comedy or Just a Horrible Comedy?

Oh, Aditya Sarpotdar ji, what were you thinking? Just when we thought we were safe from the onslaught of bad horror comedies, you drop Kakuda on us. Kya yaar, thoda toh reham karo! 😩

Story Time, Folks!

So, the film is set in a small town in Mathura called Ratodi. According to some super-duper weird folklore, this town is cursed by a ghost named Kakuda. Every Tuesday at 7.15 PM sharp, residents have to leave a small door open for Kakuda, or else the man of the house gets a fatal kick that gives him a hump and a 13-day death countdown. Sounds spooky? Trust me, it’s not. 🙄

On a fateful night, our hero Sunny (Saqib Saleem) misses the deadline because he’s busy getting hitched to Indira (Sonakshi Sinha). Result? He gets the dreaded hump. Indira, being the logical biwi she is, first tries to get him to a doctor. But when Western medicine says, “Humse na ho payega,” she ropes in ghost hunter Victor Jacob (Riteish Deshmukh).

And so begins their grand adventure to catch Kakuda, with the help of Sunny’s buddy Kilvish (Aasif Khan). Sounds thrilling, right? Spoiler alert: It’s not. 😒

Weak Sauce Storytelling

The writing duo Avinash Dwivedi and Chirag Garg must have been on a chai break while penning this script. The narrative goes nowhere, and it’s as confusing as a Hindi film without a Holi song. The folklore element could have been intriguing, but alas, it’s presented in such a lackluster manner that you just don’t care.

Scares? Only if loud background scores and bad CGI ghosts give you the chills. The only thing scarier than this film is the thought of another sequel. 😱

Ek Twist, Par Pakda Nahin Jaata

The big twist? Sonakshi in a dual role! But don’t get too excited. The twist is as underwhelming as finding out your favorite actor is doing a special appearance in a flop film. Even Riteish Deshmukh’s impeccable comic timing can’t save this sinking ship. 🤷‍♀️

Performances: Kya Boloon?

Sonakshi tries her best, but how much can an actor do with such a poor script? She’s expressive, but that’s about it. Saqib Saleem looks like he’s counting down the days to the film’s end, just like his character. Riteish manages a few laughs, but even he seems trapped in this mess.

Final Verdict: Skip It!

In short, Kakuda is a total waste of time. It doesn’t do justice to the horror-comedy genre and will just test your patience. While Sonakshi and Riteish might keep you engaged for a bit, the overall experience is a dud. If you’re looking for a good horror comedy, look elsewhere.

Kiran’s Gyan:

“Bollywood mein do cheezein kabhi nahi badalti: Filmon ki overhyped promotions aur unka underwhelming content. Jab tak Bollywood mein ghatiya scripts hain, tab tak Khabree Kiran zinda hai!”

Until next time, keep your popcorn ready and your expectations low!
