Kalki 2898 AD Looking At Best Opening Of 2024 In Hindi – Box Office India

Kalki 2898 AD is looking at the best opening of the year for a film in Hindi. The advances are remarkable in the South especially the home market of NIzam / Andhra and very good in Karntaka which was expected considering Prbhas and the scale of the film but in Hindi the advances are also the highest of 2024 at many places even though advances opened pretty late.

 

 

The film may not reach the level of Fighter at the national chains and even if it gets there pricing is lower but elsewhere advances are better. Basically this is pointing to higher circuit numbers than Figher across all the Hindi circuits including East Punjab and West Bengal.which are the weak spots for South films. East Punjab has huge competition with Punjabi film Jatt And Julliet 2 but still its looking at a good number which should be higher than Fighter.

 

 

Basically therre is an interest in the film across the states and today that is the foremost important thing as when a film is coming out it means there will some sort of opening number and then it becomes about the film and how the content is recieved. The interest level is where most of the original Hindi films are failing and then its becomes an uphill battle and generally a losing battle. Mass penetration is so important and here its not a Gadar 2 or KGF 2 level with Kalki 2898 AD but its good enough and better than most films seen post pandemic. The national chains will cross 1 lakh and maybe even each  reach1.25 lakh but its more about what the film is doing outside these national chains and mass circuits look like comfortably recording the best numbers of the year.

 

 

Also these collections are coming without much promotion and the usual paid stuff which goes on before more or less every release today. The film was seen as thandi (cold) in Mumbai mainly as there was no promotion and nothing could be seen so it looked like awareness was not there but obviously it was there among the audience. The first trailer was also not that good for such a big scale film though second was better but the fact remains it built up enough intrigue with the audience.

 

 

The industry has a long way to get its house in order and the first little steps to start is maybe to stop the paid stuff as the people you are paying are pretty irrelevant and do not help in any way and today if there is X amount of these people tomorrow will be X x 10 and will only get worse in time and harder to nip in the bud.
