Saqib Saleem Spills the Beans on Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s Epic Romance

Picture this: Saqib Saleem playing the quintessential dost, juggling between the bride and groom like a pro juggler at a circus. From the bachelor trip with Zaheer to holding the phoolon ki chadar for Sonakshi—Saqib was the ultimate multitasker. Bhai, aise dost sabko milen!

"Sona and Zaheer have been a part of my life for the last six to seven years now. So, when you spent the most important years of your life with people like them, andar se woh ek awaaz aati hai. It doesn’t feel like you’re doing something [special for them]. It just felt like ki ghar ki shaadi ho rahi thi," Saleem tells us, looking like a proud brother at his sister’s wedding.

Saqib, the 36-year-old charmer, shared how the whole gang of friends came together for the wedding. Bhai, it was like one big, happy family reunion. No one cared about who was doing what; sab ne mil-jul ke sab kuch kar diya. It’s like they were living a Bollywood movie in real life.

"We’ve all grown together, travelled together, eaten meals together, watched films and partied together. So, after all this, you don’t think so much about who is doing what [during a wedding]. Sab log sab kuch kar rahe the. We were all there for both Sona and Zaheer because this is a beautiful love story for the ages, and we wanted to be a part of it," says Saqib, who is also Sona’s onscreen hubby in the upcoming horror-comedy Kakuda.

Now, here’s the real kicker. Saqib found himself in a hilarious spot, having to choose sides between his two besties. Imagine getting texts like, "Theek hai bhai, you be on her side," from Zaheer if he sided with Sonakshi and vice versa. Talk about walking on eggshells! 😜

"If I used to take Sona’s side then I’d get a message from Zaheer, ‘Theek hai bhai, you be on her side’. If I go on his side, I would get a message from her. So, we were all walking on slight bit of eggshells trying to please both the lovely people, hence we decided hum dono ki taraf hain," he says, bursting into laughter.

And of course, post-shaadi, Saqib had the most genuine question on his Insta story: "Bhaiya Bhabhi bolun ya didi jiju?" The confusion is real, folks. He’s still figuring it out, just like the rest of us navigating the murky waters of relationships.

"Woh confusion abhi bhi chal raha hai. Dekhte hain abhi kya hota hai," he chuckles, leaving us all in splits.

Now, let’s talk about the elephant in the room—why Sona and Zaheer never made their relationship public. According to Saqib, there was no awkwardness or secrecy. They were just living their lives, happy and content, without the need to broadcast every detail on social media.

"Honestly, nobody was hiding anything. People were just being in their space and as friends, of course we are protective about Sona and Zaheer, but they were never hiding anything. Woh khush the apne jeevan mein and nobody likes to interfere in other people’s lives. Maybe social media gives a different impression but in normal life, people are very busy with their respective lives. And whoever was part of Sona and Zaheer’s life they were only happy for them," he concludes.

Kiran’s Gyan: Bollywood mein dosti aur pyaar ka equation thoda alag hota hai bhai. Kabhi-kabhi aapko pata hi nahi chalta ki aap friend-zone mein ho ya love-zone mein. But one thing is for sure, jo bhi ho, drama to full-on hota hai! 😜
