So, here’s the deal, folks! Our beloved Shotgun Sinha, aka Shatrughan Sinha, has been spending some time in the hospital. Why, you ask? Well, it seems like the post-wedding celebrations got a bit too intense! Our very own Sonakshi Sinha tied the knot with actor Zaheer Iqbal on June 23rd. A joyous occasion, right? But just two days later, Papa Sinha had a not-so-joyous run-in with the floor. Yep, he took a spill in his dining room and ended up at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. 🎊🏥
Rumor has it, Shatruji was wrestling with his sofa when his foot met the corner of the carpet, and well, gravity did the rest. Sonakshi was there to play the superhero, catching him before things got even worse. Imagine the drama if she hadn’t been there! They say behind every good woman is a clumsy dad needing a catch! 😂

According to some reports, if Sonakshi hadn’t been there to catch him, we might’ve had a bigger Bollywood drama on our hands. Initially, he received some basic medical treatment and was resting at home. But come morning, the pain in his ribs cranked up to eleven, and off they went to the hospital for a thorough check-up.
The docs at the hospital ran some tests and decided our beloved Shotgun needed to stay put for a bit. Word on the street is, he’ll be discharged by July 1st. Fingers crossed! 🤞
The newlyweds, Sonakshi and Zaheer, were spotted at the hospital visiting Shatrughan Sinha. Aww, nothing like a little family bonding over hospital food, huh? 🍲❤️
Speaking of the wedding, Sonakshi opted for a civil marriage with her longtime beau Zaheer. There were whispers that Shatrughan wasn’t too thrilled about it initially, but hey, he showed up with a smile and even posed with the happy couple. Let’s hear it for family unity!

Oh, the drama doesn’t stop there! Post-wedding, Sonakshi faced some backlash from a group called the Hindu Shiv Bhawani Sena in Bihar, who threatened to ban her from the state. Shatrughan, ever the wise sage, responded with legendary lyricist Anand Bakshi’s words: “Kuch to log kahenge, logon ka kaam hai kehna.” (People will always have something to say, it’s their job to talk.)
He went on to say that if people have nothing better to do, talking becomes their profession. "My daughter hasn’t done anything illegal or unconstitutional. Marriage is a deeply personal decision between two people. Nobody has the right to comment or interfere. To those opposed to the marriage, I say, go do something worthwhile with your lives."
